Did you know it’s possible to merge multiple Ethernet ports into one on a Mac? The feature is simple to set up and can greatly increase speeds for those with super-speedy network connections.

In brief:

• System Preferences
• Network
• settings cog (currently on bottom third of screen, where it lists all of the network connections)
• select Manage Virtual Interfaces
• add New Link Aggregate
• select Ethernet ports (might want to name the aggregate as well)
• Create
• Apply
